This shrine was created as way to celebrate his adoption day which was March, 4th. I don't know his exact birthday so that's why we celebrate it by his adoption day. I brought him home from a rehoming situation by his previous owner(s). He is now ten years old from when I got him two years ago. His estimated age was eight years old.
Casskitty fits the criteria to be a Nebelung in my eyes. I am no vet nor an experienced breeder but with some research I was able to determine his breed. Before delving into what his actual breed was. My mother thought he was a persian and munchkin mix cat due to his back legs looking shorter than his front legs but my uncertainty was on the length of his body. 
Casskitty's name came from a pun based on the name Cassidy. He was already nicknamed Cass from his previous owner(s). I wanted to keep his original name which was Castiel because it reminded me of a certain angel especially the iteration of said angel from the TV series Supernatural. That's why I affectionally nickname him my angel from time to time.
In October 2025, I took apart of a cat art collaboration on Newgrounds! I drew this transparent png shown here on the page at the bottom right of Casskitty as part of my submission. Typically, I don't draw feral or in this case actual animals due to the fact I'm artistically more on the anthro side of things when drawing animals. This lil goober was drawn as skrunkly as he can be!
What Is A Nebelung?
Nebelungs are a predigree breed that was recognized by TCIA, ACF, and GCCF.The Nebelung originated in the United States in the 1980s. Cora Cobb bred a black domestic shorthair who came from a long-haired parent with a male that resembled a russian blue. The name derives from the german word "Nebel" which tranlates to mist or fog in english. Their looks and appearence consists of long hair, silver-blue fur coat, and green eyes. The personality of this type of noble feline are loyal to their owners, shy around strangers, affectionate and intelligent.
